This is not a place for those who are faint-hearted! Climbing the Tor is really fun, but also quite dangerous as there's no restraints. If you're an adrenaline junkie like me, though, then it's a must go.
Great launching point for medium or long walks. Worth going to even if just taking in the view for a bit.
It's one of my favourite places on Dartmoor. Not as visited like Haytor, but still very interesting and offers some great views of the are. The deserted village is also an interesting place to go and explore.
Nice sized car park, and not to.far to.walk up to.the tor and if you're lucky, a very nice food van can be found there on most days.
Stopped here for a picnic with the kids. There’s a short walk up from the road (about 10 mins with a four year old). We all loved the beautiful views and climbing on the rocks. It’s well worth a walk down to the medieval village.
Beautiful area well worth a visit and a gentle climb to the top ,and when at the top unbelievable views and walk down bank to ruins of a historic village,do check your sat nav ,to how you get there ,the way I got there my car would only just fit in the road ,the other way roads a lot wider
Stunning landscape (although short on trees). A small, free car park nearby and easily walkable to the nearby medieval ruins. Long views on a clear day but worth a visit in any weather.
One of my favorite places. Nice scenery, decent parking, good walks - with or without dogs.
The rock formations are awesome, great for scrambling over or more serious climbers also go there.
Great place for walking and climbing, very misty the day we visited, but that just added to the atmosphere!
